Neuroplasticity

Neuroplasticity is the ability for the brain to change. We used to think that the brain was "fixed", meaning that if a neurologic condition (such as Parkinson's disease) occurred, we could not expect any improvements in the brain through learning, practice, and exercise. However, we now know that is not true! Your neurologist and your rehabilitation specialists should be able to offer suggestions on how to help your brain learn and create new pathways.
