Job Description:


The Director of Clinical Research Program works closely with the CEO and Clinic physicians to provide administrative leadership, strategic planning and operational management to the Clinical Research Program.


Position Responsibilities: 

Be responsible for the preparation and execution of Clinical Studies; serving as Study Director to support the full life cycle of clinical trials, including the development of protocols, IRB assistance, budget negotiations, study start-up, participant recruitment and audit support. Be the clinical research team expert to provide direction to all project team functions and liaise with PI’s regarding program strategy. Contribute clinical expertise and content to regulatory documents. Hires, trains and provides direct supervision of clinical research staff . Ensures trials are enrolled on time and within budget. Ensures timeliness of site response to sponsor communications, and site monitoring follow-up. 

Job Requirements:

-        RN or M.D (Board Certified/Eligible in Neurology desirable) or Masters’ degree in scientific field.

-        Have 5+ years’ experience with a demonstrated understanding of clinical research methodology including study design, protocol writing, and IRB preparation.

-        Have clinical experience and/or an academic track record within Neurodegenerative Diseases.

-        Possess strong knowledge of human subject’s protection, GCP and local regulatory requirements.

-        Must maintain knowledge of current and emerging best practices and regulatory changes. Represent the Institute with administrators, pharmaceutical/medical device companies or government sponsor.

-        Have ability to manage demanding workflow and competing deadlines.

-        Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

-        Be an outstanding communicator and team-player who is committed to fighting Parkinson’s disease.
