Your Basic Research Expert, Birgitt Schuele, MD, presented last month at the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) 11th Annual Meeting in Boston, MA. Dr. Schuele presented on a collaboration between the Schuele Lab and Life Technologies: Creating integration-free iPSCs and NSCs to model Parkinson’s disease.  Researchers at the Parkinson’s Institute are uniquely positioned to collaborate with industry, academia, and other leading Parkinson’s researchers. Dr. Schuele and Life Technologies are working together to better understand the molecular basis for Parkinson’s disease and to identify compounds that can impact disease phenotypes, which will help to identify new and better treatments for people living with Parkinson’s.
