The Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center is pleased to announce that Dr. Kristin Andruska will be joining its medical team as a Movement Disorders Specialist. “Dr. Andruska aligns with our vision that the physician-patient relationship both informs, and is infused, by scientific discovery. Her addition keeps with our long-standing tradition of offering outstanding clinician-scientists to the community; our physicians provide highly personalized, sophisticated care, but are equally-focused on discovery and cure,” says Dr. Anthony Santiago, Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Andruska recently completed her Fellowship in Movement Disorders at Stanford University. She completed her Neurology Residency at Washington University, St. Louis, where she served as the Chief Resident during her final year of training. She attended the University of Minnesota, School of Medicine, graduating from its prestigious Medical Science Training Program with both an MD and PhD; her research in neurobiology focused on models of the disease Spinal Cerebellar Ataxia in the lab of Dr. Harry Orr, a world-renowned researcher credited with discovering the genetic abnormality causing the disease – a seminal discovery that has had wide-reaching impact in our understanding of neurodegenerative disorders.
